Our Technical Writer has written drafts of our Descriptions of the MER Vehicle and Instruments. Before we release them on this website, however, our MER Team members who worked with (and in some cases, designed) those instruments will check them for accuracy, our MER PORTAL team members who were not on the MER team will test them for usability, and our Accessibility Consultant will ensure that they meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1.

Until then, here is the chapter from our Principal Investigator’s PhD thesis that our Descriptions of the MER Vehicle and Instruments are based upon. The dissertation is from 2015, and some of the links in this chapter no longer work; our guides will have updated links.
